![]() Since 1939, the Castleton-Schodack Kiwanis Club has served the
Castleton-Schodack community, which is located in southern Rensselaer County in
the beautiful Hudson Valley of upstate New York State. The club is composed of
about 50 men and women who take part in a variety of service projects for the
community and fund raising activities to support these projects. For more
information about the Club's community service projects and fund raising
activities, see the appropriate pages on this Web Site. MeetingsThe club holds weekly meetings each Wednesday. The first meeting of the month is held at Scarnato's Ristorance in Castleton. The meetings on the other Wednesday's of the month are held at St. Paul's United Methodist Church on Carney Road near Castleton.. The meetings begin at 6:30 P.M., and are similar to Kiwanis meetings the world over an inspirational opening, a meal, reports on current projects, and usually a program. The programs offer members a chance to hear about a variety of topics, from those in education, the justice system, and arts and entertainment, just to name a few. Joining KiwanisWe are always looking for new members -- men and women who would like to help make our community a better place in which to live. Kiwanis provides an opportunity for individuals to make a difference together, where one individual is not able to go alone. If you might be interested in joining the Castleton-Schodack Kiwanis and would like to attend a meeting as our guest and learn more about the Castleton-Schodack Kiwanis, see Joining Kiwanis. |
