![]() If you've already looked at the page listing the contributions that the Castleton Kiwanis Club makes to the community, you've probably concluded that this level of service takes money. Unlike some other service organizations that rely mainly on contributions from its members and the public, we "do it the old-fashioned way" -- we work for it. We raise funds for our community projects in the following ways:
All monies raised from the community are used to sponsor community service projects. None of the money is used to fund the administrative costs of the Castleton Kiwanis. All administrative costs for the club are paid by member dues and "fines" levied on members at weekly meetings. The "fines" are nominal amounts for events such as birthdays, anniversaries, the purchase of a new car, a child graduating from college, etc. Our club members contribute many hours to these fund-raising efforts. We have a lot of fun as well as generating considerable sweat. We're always looking for new members to help -- as are all Kiwanis clubs. |
