The 2009 Castleton Kiwanis Clove Run was held on Saturday, August 22, 2009, and consisted of a 15 K race, a 5 K race and a 1 mile KIDS FUN Run. All race activities (start, finish, awards, refreshments, and entertainment) took place at the Schodack Island State Park. The courses for 15 K and the 5K races can be seen by clicking on the name of the appropriate race: 15 K and 5 K races.

It is estimated that about 175 runners participated in the three events during a cool and overcast day in August, and enjoyed scenic views while running in the Schodack Island State Park and the surrounding coutryside. The Castleton Road Racing Commission wishes to express its appreciation to all those businesses and persons who provided support for the 2009 Clove Run. All proceeds from the Clove Run were donated to the local food pantry in Castleton, The Anchor.
