  The 2011 Castleton Kiwanis Clove Run was held on Saturday, August 13, 2011, and consisted of a 15 Mile race, a 5 K race and a 1 mile Family Fun Run. All race activities (start, finish, awards, refreshments, and entertainment) took place at the Castleton Elementary School at 78 Scott Avenue in Castleton, NY. The 1 mile Family Fun Run and the 5 K Race were run on streets of the Village of Castleton. To see the course map for the Family Fun Run, click on Fun Run. It is estimated that about 120 runners participated in the three events during a cool and sunny day in August, and enjoyed scenic views while running in the Castleton and the surrounding coutryside. The Castleton Road Racing Commission wishes to express its appreciation to all those businesses and persons who provided support for the 2011 Clove Run. All proceeds from the Clove Run will be donated to the local food pantry in Castleton, The Anchor. Information about this year's donation will be provided when that information is available, last year $4,000 was donated to the Anchor.
