K-Kids Clubs provide the opportunity for elementary school students to develop self-esteem, leadership skills, morals and standards, and respect for others through involvement in community service projects. The K-Kids' Clubs motto is "We Build," and their objectives are:
Members learn that their opinions and ideas count and that they can be productive members of society. They form sound personal values and experience satisfaction in knowing they did something to help improve the world around them. K-Kids members learn to work together as a group and yet be strong individually. K-Kids Clubs originated in Florida, and soon spread to other areas. Today there are clubs in Jamaica, the Philippines, and the United States. For more information, see the K-Kids International WEB Site. The following K-Kids Clubs are sponsored by clubs in the Van Rensselaer Division. Information about the K-Kids Clubs may be obtained by contacting the president of the appropriate Kiwanis Club.
