50/50 rules
The Sand
Lake Kiwanis has two 50/50 pools each week. Participation in either 50/50
is voluntary. In both 50/50s one
half of the amount of the ticket sales is awarded as prize money and the
remaining amount is used as administrative fund income.
The winner of the regular 50/50 is the
individual who has the ticket number drawn from among the tickets distributed that
evening. This drawing is open to any
attendee who wishes to participate.
The Progressive 50/50 is a weekly drawing from among the
tickets sold that week. The winner of
that drawing has the opportunity to draw one card from a deck of playing
cards. The object is to draw the King
of Clubs. Should any other card be drawn that card is destroyed (the number of
cards remaining in the deck for
the next week’s drawing is correspondingly lowered) and the prize money is
rolled over to the next week’s pool.
Participation in the Progressive 50/50 is open only to members or spouses/partners of the Sand Lake Kiwanis Club.
