PROGRAM: Club Bulletin and Kiwanis Educational tidbit
PROGRAM #1 Jo Moccia In abstentia :
The Sandpiper is a club tradition with a long history of fabulous work. This year the Sandpiper will cover the events of Kiwanis and is being handled by Jo Moccia, Jim Colabelli and Pat Lane. It is a joint effort and President Jerry helps out by providing the agenda in advance. The newsletter is placed into the format before the meeting and then notes and happy dollars are added to the document. It is then emailed to Booker for posting. Hard copies are printed and sent by Jim Colabelli each week to 11 members. The Kiwanis tradition of being unable to say no to a request has resulted in the current Sandpiper committee thanks to President Jerry!
PROGRAM #2 Kiwanis Educational Tidbits from Bob Pasquarelli (presented as an oral quiz):
Perfect
attendance is attained by being present at e
ach
meeting. If it is not possible to be present at each meeting there are various
ways to acquire make-up attendance credits (KI
Administrative Bulletin #3.) They are as follows: board meetings;
interclubs; projects; when out of town the attending of a Kiwanis meeting in
another city, ( Kiwanis.org to find out where meetings are held ) and the
attending of conventions or mid-winter conferences. If you know you will be
absent for more than 1 month, it is wise to ask for a leave of absence. Money
and or bills coming into the club ALWAYS go to the secretary 1st. It is most
important to keep the club money straight to help club administration.
