Ø Girl Scout Melissa: Our famous cookies are now for sale! We will distribute the order form for you to sign, and cookies will be delivered here to the Lakeview when available.
Ø Nancy Davis: The SL Bicentennial Committee will sponsor a Valentine’s Dance on Feb 18th at Old Daley Inn on Crooked Lake beginning at 7 PM. Tickets available now.
Ø Nancy Davis, again: The Annual Empty Bowls soup celebration will be on Sunday Feb 12th at the Church of the Covenant beginning at noon. Delicious soups will be provided by local restaurants and by individual persons. Proceeds to benefit the Heifer Project.
Ø EG Club Pres Lynne Catelotti: The East Greenbush Club challenges the Sand Lake Club to see who has the most Kiwanians at the APHS vs. Columbia HS basketball game on Tues Feb 7th, 7 PM, at Columbia HS gym. Losing Club makes a donation to the winning Club’s Key Club! OK, Kiwanians, let’s see as many as possible at the game! (Picture on right)
Ø PLG Wendy Prout (via email): Please support the WSL ES K-Kids projects. In January they are collecting hats, scarves, mittens, & gloves for local agencies. In February they are collecting returnable cans to donate to the Humane Society.
A delicious five course roast beef dinner was enjoyed by 50 people.
DOOR PRIZE, provided by LTG Bob Loveridge, was won by Gary Meislin!

LT GOV’S REMARKS
LTG Bob read a thank you note from Governor Bill Risbrook for the warm reception he received when he made his official visit to our division. Bob also spoke about important upcoming events and encouraged our attendance. The Mid Year Conference is in Albany Feb 24th – 26th, the Kiwanis International Conference is in New Orleans June 28th – July 1st, and the New York District Convention is in Niagara Falls Aug 15th – 19th.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
PUBLIC RELATIONS, Ken Ormiston (Castleton) encouraged use of the Web Site, and asked for contributions.
GOV & 1ST LADY PROJECT, Claire Dalton (Castleton) urged participation in the Governor’s Project (Childhood Asthma) and the First Lady’s Project (Fire Safety).
SPONSORED LEADERSHIP, Dale Hall (East Greenbush) explained the need for financial support for charter fees for the new youth organizations being formed. Circle K LTG Claire Farnung, District Key Club Treasurer Emily Gicewicz, and Key Club LTG Sarah Brady each reported on their group’s activities.
KI PROJECT, Lynne Catelotti (East Greenbush) urged fundraisers to support the International EliMiNate Project. Just $1.80 will provide the 3 lifesaving shots to protect a mother and her unborn children.
NYDF & YOUNG CHILD #1, Bob Loveridge (Sand Lake) reported the Division raised over $8500 for the Bells of Life project, and urged members to visit Kamp Kiwanis.
MEMBERSHIP, Joe Behson (Sand Lake) urged all clubs to complete at least one Round Robin (visit to each of the clubs in the division), and to go out and ask people to join Kiwanis.
SOCIAL, Noreen Barrett (East Greenbush) circulated a suggestion sheet for social activities for the Division, such as the recent bowling afternoon at Spare Time.
NOMINATION, Gale Leva (Hoosick Falls) is recruiting for LTGs who must have been a past president of their own club.
OLD BUSINESS
Please turn in money from the sale of the K-9 calendars!
NEW BUSINESS
1. Each club is asked for $25 toward the Raffle Basket & Disaster Relief at Mid Year. Gov Bill is hoping to be proactive for disasters with collection of supplies now.
2. Proposed fund raiser for the Division is a Golf Tournament at Burden Lake Country Club on Saturday June 2, 2012. Help will be needed.
3. Election for next year’s Division officers will be on March 17, 2012 at East Greenbush.
4. The next Division Council meeting will be in North Greenbush at Niche’s Restaurant in Wynantskill on February 15, 2012.
