Bill Whipple  on Senior Services Committee

Bill had a trivia session. Sand Lake is the only club that has a senior committee we started our senior services committee in 93 / 94 under the direction of John Brownrigg and Joe Trupia was the first Committee Chairperson.

Bill also reported on the Holiday Party held at Brookside Apartments and that there is a luncheon coming up for the Senior Citizens Club of Sand Lake at the COC> the date will be noted when definite.

 

 

 

Second Part of our Program tonight was Bob Pasquarelli. Bob asked “Why do we need new Members?” Some of answers were

1. We are getting older

2. They bring new ideas.

3 New energy.

4 More help with the citrus in the middle of an ice storm.

5. Enlarges our sense of community

 

So keep asking new people to come and remember that next week in bring a guest night.

$       Bob Loveridge gave $5 to celebrate winning the football pool.

$       John Brownrigg  Just off the plane from Sanabel Island, Fl. Showing off his new belt that the “Grampy's Charity” of Connecticut is selling to raise money.  Cute symbol, stands for Grampa's swing. No John we didn't want you to take off your belt.


  

 

$       Joe Behson in pre-honor of next weeks program a motivational speaker on how to get people involved and committed

$       Dick Johnsen his wife got stopped for no inspection” dick's Fault”. The officer told her to go home and slap him silly. She said she would do it verbally.

$       Jim Rogers  doctor said he doesn't need his back brace anymore.

$       Jim Colabelli (on right) missed last week when his wife backed into and got stuck in a snowbank in their driveway, she did it again tonight. also second dollar for the anticipated job of babysitting his grandchildren this week end. 

$       Nancy W. Davis 42 years ago she was up all night ironing sheets as she was in labor for her son's birth and couldn't sleep.

MEGA 50/50 added $16.50 to our $88.00 and Jim Colabelli drew a red heart and didn't win the $104.50
