PROGRAM:  Joe Behson who had the opportunity to meet our accomplished speaker at a previous meeting introduced Lisa Giruezzi the owner of a company known as Transformational Conversation.  The topic of her speech centered around a Revolutionary new way to converse which is ultimately designed to cause lasting change.  Very few speakers prepare a speech designed with how well those who will be receiving the speech will be listening.  Many books have been prepared on leadership but few have been prepared with the Power of Perspective in mind.  In other words in order to be an effective speaker it is necessary not only be the speaker but also to be conscious of the desired affect that will be created in the mind of the listener.  Transformational Conversation is a catalyst for initiating and sustaining positive change in organizations and individuals.  Lisa also spoke about appreciative inquiry.  AI is a whole new way of thinking; a new perspective that shifts the focus from a deficit based way of thinking and encourages people to discover their natural talents, to dream a new future to capitalize on those natural talents and design a pathway to fulfill that future.  For example:   It is very hard to change a weakness.  It is easier to change and capitalize on a strength.  The Certificate of Appreciation for Lisa’s program was presented by Angelo Patti.  For more information on Transformational Conversation, inquire at www.transformationalconversations.com.
