BIRTHDAYS & ANNIVERSARIES:

And sang "Happy Anniversary" to Joe & Audrey Trupia, Angelo & Sue Patti, Bob & Joan Pasquarelli, Woodie & Marion Hacker, Dudley & Rose Dorr and Jim & Jan Collabelli
Between the Collabelli, Dorr, Hacker and Pasquarelli couples there are 177 years of wedded bliss. We also enjoyed the wonderful cake that Eve made!
A big " Thank You" was given to those that were in the Memorial Day Parade: John Brownrigg, Eve Ward, Pat Lane, Dave Booker, Jim Rogers, Jim Collabelli, Dudley Dorr and Bob Pasquarelli. We did see Angelo Patti there with the Veterans: Nancy Davis with the SL Historical Society and John Glasser was performing chauffer duties in a convertible. A very nice time was had by all.
Next week is our work night at Camp Rotary if you are coming please let John Glasser or Jerry know so that we can have enough steaks for us when we are finished with our projects. This is one of the most fun nights in Kiwanis so come bring any tools you might need and have fun. John needs to know by Friday.
Come help install the playground equipment at Butler Park on Saturday June 6 from 8 to 2. We need 15 people and lunch will be provided. Let John Glasser know if you can come to help. 674-8558

Bob Loveridge represented Kiwanis on Sunday at the Children's Hospital Miracle Telethon. Joining him were 2 Circle Kers and 20 Key Clubbers. and they presented a check for $ 12,052. We can all be proud of our participation. He also told us that they were told that Kiwanis has given about $450,000 over the years. Good work !!
Fred Wurtemberger has the program for June 29 and he is having John Mulligan talk about PCB's. John has worked in that field for many years.
Hoosick Falls Kiwanis is holding a golf tournament on Friday June 5: $55 all inclusive.
Castleton Kiwanis has started their "Music in the Park” every Tuesday in June. Next Tuesday will be “Hair of the Dog ."
President Jerry presented Nancy W. Davis & Pat Lane with their 1 year Perfect Attendance Tabs.
Tonight’s program was our own Bob Pasquarelli. Bob spoke on our need for
growth. He also would like to hear from anyone who has any ideas that would
make our club more appealing to new members. Here are some of the questions
that he asked and if you have any feedback Bob would love to hear from you.
we need everyone's thoughts and concerns to make our club better and more
1. How can we get and keep new members?
2. Does our community know what we are and what we are doing?
Nancy W. Davis is glad her “trapping season" is over.
2. Joe Behson gave $2. One for his great vacation to Key West and Key Largo and the other was for his good friend and neighbor, Jim Collabelli for being his Neighborhood Watch.
3. Jim Rogers for having Jim Collabelli collect and deliver the food to Doors of Hope.
4. Gary Meislin was happy because his son came for a visit and planted a couple of cherry trees in his yard. Gary also gave another Happy Dollar because his tomato tree is now growing.
5.Ken Van Praag gave $3. one for all the Sandpipers he received while in Florida, a second for Bob Pasquarelli's continued aim of growth for our club and then he says for the "GREAT YANKEE SPIRIT" “It is very early to be gloating”...so say some of us loyal Red Sox fans.
6. Jim Collabelli after 4 1/2 months of practice and scheduling the Sand Lake Chorale had a lovely concert on Sunday May 31.
7. Dick Johnsen is delighted that his granddaughter has applied for and is accepted in the SICUM program and will likely be doing a summer program ministering to aids patients in a local community.
8. Jerry Tysiak very glad to be back on our side of the Canadian border with no problems on this first day of new regulations.
9. Peg Weiss also glad to be back home and out of the torrential rains that she had to drive through on her way back from Florida where she had gone to help a friend from when she was back in nursing school to drive back to her home in the Capital District.
DOOR PRIZE was won by Barbara Fioravanti
