GREETINGS & INVOCATION by Bob Pasquarelli
WELCOME BACK: Armand Mills and Joe Trupia
Summerfest is this weekend. We need all the help that you can give us. Please come and give a few hours of your time.
Eve Ward has the tickets for the Valley Cats game on July 27. She will bring them to next week's meeting. Contact Eve for your tickets.
Our Summerfest Recovery Picnic will be July 20 at 6 PM. Call Eve Ward 674-2994
to tell her how many of your friends and family you will be bringing. This is
a pot luck so please bring a dish to share. We will have the Tri-County Banjo
Band for our enjoyment and entertainment.
Jerry will invite the workers from the town who worked so hard to get the playground in and put together so beautiful.
There are still 24 members who have not paid their dues. Please do so at your earliest convenience.
Kamp Kiwanis: Raffle tickets for two seats in the HVCC President's skybox available from N.G. Kiwanis. Dave Booker will get them for you. Winner will be drawn at the Divisional meeting July 21 at the Hoosick Falls Country Club.
Interclub: Ray Turner told us of the Divisional meeting July 21 at the Hoosick Falls Country Club. Dinner $18. Starts at 6 PM. Auction to benefit Gov-Elect Dave Booker so bring an item to auction and some extra cash to bid on other items. They need to know by July 17 and earlier would be better.
District Convention at the Albany Crown Plaza August 19 - 23. We are eligible for three delegates and three alternate delegates. Please contact Jerry or Joe Behson if you are interested.
Nancy W. Davis: told us of the Doors of Hope Holiday delivery on July 7 and also reminded us that there is a delivery on July 14. So if you can please meet at the Java Beanery about 9:30 on July 14.
PERFECT ATTENDANCE: Eve Ward received her 8 year perfect attendance tab.
BIRTHDAYS: Clayton Besch, Bob Carpenter and Joe Trupia. Joe led us as we sang a rousing Happy Birthday.
ANNIVERSARIES: John and Suzanne Brownrigg, Bob and Joan Carpenter and Kevin and Cheryl Smith
PROGRAM : Jerry covered the Summerfest. Everything is well planned and will go smoothly but we can always use more help. please come and support your club and community. We could use your help setting up on Friday evening and all day Saturday and Sunday.
Jim Rogers : Happy to represent us in Nashville and then he and Joanne went to the Great Smoky Mountains. Ask him about the "Kiwanis Moment" he has in a Laundromat in Kentucky. Great Story.
John Brownrigg: Gave many Happy Dollars in celebration of the "rejected $500.00 offer" that his father in law offered him over 40 years ago.
Joe Trupia: Gave a Happy Dollar for the wonderful way we sang Happy Birthday under his direction. Also gave another H.D. just because he could join us for the evening.
Joe Cybulski: Had a wonderful weekend near Philadelphia where his in-laws were the Marshalls in the 4th of July Parade.
Kevin Sarsfield; Just glad his name wasn't Joe
Jerry Tysiak: Grandchildren have gone home but the house is awful quiet.
