ANNOUNCEMENTS:

PROGRAM:  A year in review by President Jerry and Installation of Directors and Officers  by Lt. Gov. Noreen Barrett.

Pres. Jerry  spoke of the many projects SLK members throughout the year.  We had our ups and downs and twists and turns just like a roller      coaster ride, but much was accomplished in the past year.  Pres. Jerry stated that roughly 20 people out of the 51 members carried the club in its activities throughout the year.  Each of the club members was asked to rededicate themselves during this year to a better and brighter future to usher in Sand Lake Kiwanis’s 60th Anniversary Year.  We can’t afford to just drift along.  Everyone has to become active to help Pres. Gary make our club proud.  Now it is our time to make this happen.  A special “Thank You” was given to Peg Weiss for her dedication as the Club Secretary during the past year.  John Mulligan and Pat Lane were selected as the Kiwanian’s of the Year and were given beautiful plaques in recognition.

Lt. Governor Noreen Barrett inducted the new directors - Barbra Fioravanti, Ron Wagner, Bob Loveridge, and  Eve Ward.  (serving for the unexpired  year remaining in Skip Patton's term).  Directors reinstalled for the remainder of their terms are: Joe Behson, John Brownrigg, Jim Colabelli, Ray Turner and Bill Whipple.  Leaving the Board and not serving for the upcoming year are Jim Rogers and Peg Weiss. Peg will be reassuming the  duties as our Sandpiper Editor. The following Officers were inducted by Lt. Gov. Noreen:  President- Gary Meislin, Immediate Past President- Jerry Tysiak, Pres. Elect.- Skip Patton, Secretary - Pat Lane, and Treasurer - Bob Pasquarelli.   As a last piece of business she presented  Past Lt. Gov. Jim Rogers  with a plaque of recognition for all his hard work during the past year.

President Gary’s first act as official SLK President was to honor our outgoing Pres. Jerry with a plaque of appreciation for all his hard work during the past year.  As Gary stated he is sure to get one of those next year too, because after all he already knows how to ”ring the bell”.
