Duties of the officers
The Club President – currently Pat Lane - presides at the weekly meetings and at all Board of Director meetings. The president represents the club and sets the tone for the administrative year. The president makes all committee appointments, he/she proposes the club’s budgets and suggests new service and fund raising projects.
The
Club President-elect – currently Mike Gates – presides in the absence of the
president, and is responsible for coordinating the fund raising efforts of the
club. The money raised by the club
during a president-elect’s term will be used to fund the service projects of
his/her year as president.
The
Club Vice President –currently vacant – is mainly responsible for the
coordination of the weekly program schedule and assisting the president and
president-elect.
The Club Treasurer – Bob Pasquarelli – is responsible for the financial affairs and records of the club.
The
Club Secretary – Dave Booker – maintains the records of the club, records
the official minutes and handles all correspondence and other traditional duties
of a secretary. The secretary is
nominated by the president and approved by the Board of Directors.
The Immediate Past President – Skip Patton – gives guidance and counsel to the president and board. This is not an elected office, but rather the most recent past president who is a member of the Sand Lake Kiwanis Club holds this office.
